MY HAIR STORY
We have all been there. We have all been through bad hair styles and bad dye jobs! A lot of the time we look at a picture and it looks amazing....amazing on someone else! Deep down we know it is a bad idea but we go for it anyway. Most of the time with pick hairstyles or colors to be different from everyone else. Here is my hair story and what I have learned from it. Enjoy!
So I was a catholic schoolgirl. That's where my struggle started! I always wanted to dye my hair different colors like pink and purple! My school was very strict. NO MAKE UP! NO WEIRD HAIRSTYLES! NO DYED HAIR! Ugh I hated it! I remember i got my first set of high light in 8th grade...the school made me take them out the next week. So finally I graduated! Suddenly I had all the freedom! I went a little crazy with the freedom. I started dyeing my hair right away! It became addictive and expensive! It was digging such a phone in my pocket that I decided to dye my own hair.
I wanted to be smart about dying my hair on my own. So I did my research. I googled and youtubed till I decided to try henna hair dye. Henna hair dye is great for dying your hair at home! It no more them $10. It is a whole like healthier for your hair.It is 100% chemical free. It is an all natural way to add vibrant color, shine, and body to any hair type. I bought my henna hair dye from amazon. I really loved it but I was so messy! No matter how much I tried it got all over me and the bathroom. The only thing I didn't like is how has the color faded. I was was red all fall but I wanted something different!

When spring came rolling around I wanted to try something new! I wanted to go blonde! Of course instead of having a professional do it I did it on my own! BAD IDEA WIZZY! I have really dark hair so I got this hair dye from China on amazon. The dye was suppose to be made to take black hair to light blonde. I wanted barbie platinum blonde. What I got was ORANGE! I really like it at first....till my hubby walked in from work and said my hair look orange. Orange hair really doesn't go good with dark tan skinned Italian girls. Never again will I go blonde....or orange!

I was so done with the blonde! So one the first day of summer I bought l'oreal deep cherry brown hair dye from rite-aid. It came out almost black dark brown with hits of red. It stayed that way for about two months then it started to turn a ginger red. It went from almost black to light red. I didn't mind. I really liked both colors so it was like a two for one deal!

I love colorful hair! I did pink a couple of years ago but i really wanted to try purple because I am from Baltimore which means I am a huge Ravens fan! I really miss my purple hair! I was by Splat hair color. It was so pretty and had a lot of different shades of purple.

One night when me and the hubby where out on a date he told me that I didn't have to dye my hair a million colors to be beautiful. He told me that I am beautiful and sexy just being my natural self. After our convo at dinner I decided to go back to the color I was born with. In late August I dyed my hair natural black the closest color to my natural hair color. I haven't died it scene. I never had to redye it the color match perfectly to my root. My black hair just look more natural and healthy.
Here is my advice ladies! Take care of your hair! It is ok not to put out a ton of cash. You can get beautiful and healthy hair from the drugstore hair dyes. But don't do what I did and dye your hair every month or so! That will just end up giving you gray hair and damage! Make sure to use hot oils and hair masks for a healthy hair shine. Think before you dye! Think first will this effect me in anyway. Will the hold me back from finding a good job? Do your research! Youtube and google reviews! Find out the safest and best products for you. If you wanna go from dark to blonde the best thing you can do it go to a professional. Bleach can be tricking and a pain in the bum. Remember you don't have spend a million to look and feel like a million!
