          Happy Hump Day! I hope everyone is feeling as amazing as I am on this wonderful Wednesday.  Today on wellness Wednesday I wanna walk about my choice. My choice to start my journey to wellness. Through out my life I have been in and out of hospitals. From asthma to gallbladder surgery! You name it I've had it. I've had kidney stones and killer infections. When I get a little cold it turns into pneumonia. Sadly I was young, very stupid, and didn't really have reason to take care of my health. Now that I and older and have so many reason to want a long healthy life I have decided to take my health seriously. I have made a  choice to live healthier. I have made the choice to loose wait, eat healthy, and work out. I want to say something very important. This is my choice and mine only. I am  NOT doing this for anything or anyone! I wanna be the best me I can be. I am not doing this to be skinny or to look like the girls in the magazines. I want to be healthy and live the longest life that God will give me. It is a great feeling to be doing this for myself. The people in my life love me no matter what I eat or what I weight. They just want me to feel beautiful in my own skin and the be healthy. I am doing this wellness journey in the healthiest way possible. I will keep you clued in with every inch of my wellness journey. 1.   What can't you leave the house without?                                                                                            My Ipod, beats, and a least a little clutch purse. I make sure to always carry the basics (tampons, lip gloss, lip balm, hand sanitizer, etc) my bag or clutch before I leave the house.
2. Favorite brand of makeup?                                                                                                                       I have a ton of different brands in my collection but my favorite would have to be m.a.c and Jessie girl. 
3. Favorite flowers?                                                                                                                                    I love daisies, calla lilies, and baby's breath!
4. Favorite clothing stores?                                                                                                                          GOD! I have so many that I really can't pick just one! My top favorites would be Debs, Charlotte Russe, Rue 21, Dots, and Delias'! 
5. Favorite perfume?                                                                                                                                 Anything sweet! I love cotton candy but my favorite scent cupcake! My favorite perfume ever is strawberries and champagne by Victoria secrets.
6. Heals or Flats?                                                                                                                                       OK I am super weird but half the time I am just always barefoot. Blame my grandfather! My mom would always put the cutest shoes and socks on me but my grandfather use to take them off. He always said "She doesn't like anything on her feet! Let her cute piggies breath!" But it really depends if I am out just chilling with family I wear flats but if I am out somewhere special with my hubby or my girlfriends then I am in my heels!
7. Zebra print or Leopard print?                                                                                                               UMMM! BOTH! ALL ANIMAL PRINT IS AMAZING! I SWEAR ANIMAL PRINT PANTS MAKE MY BUTT LOOK A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I HAVE ANIMAL PRINT EVERYWHERE IN MY HOME AND IN MY CLOSET!
8. Favorite color? Green and Pink?                                                                                                             I love all shades of these two colors! Mint green and barbie pink are my favorite right now!
9. Do you drink energy drinks?                                                                                                                  Not really. My husband does all the time I am more of a ice coffee girl!
10. Do you drink juice?                                                                                                                               Now that I am cutting soda out of my diet I drink a lot of juice. My favorite is anything peach!
11. Do you like to swim?                                                                                                                            I am a fish! I love the water it is like a second home to me. I rather swim in a pool then the ocean because I don't like the fact when I am in the ocean I can't see what is under me. The ocean is just never ending that freaks me out if I can't see or touch the bottom!
12. Favorite Icons?                                                                                                                                    I have so many!  My top favorites are Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, and Carrie Bradshaw! I look up to these woman so much they taught me about class, love, and confidence!
13. Lip stick or gloss?                                                                                                                                I personally like to use both. I use a lip plumper over my lipstick. Right now I'm in to red lipstick!
14. Do you want to get married sooner or later in life?                                                                                  I am currently planning my wedding to the king to my Queendom! 
15. Do you get mad easily?                                                                                                                          Not anymore...I have worked a lot on my patients. Yoga! Lots and lots of yoga! lol
16. Going out or staying in?                                                                                                                        We will go out once in a while on dates and such but I much rather relax at home with a good  home cooked meal and netflicks!
17. Do you scare easy?                                                                                                                             YES! My uncle always likes to scare me! Even if I see him and I know its him I still scream!
18. Do you bite your nails?                                                                                                                        *SIGH* Yes I do! I hate that I bite my nails!
19. Have you had a near death experience?                                                                                                Yup! 2 years ago I had to get surgery and they lost me on the table then they had to shock me to bring me back.
20. Something you can't live with out?                                                                                                          My Pets! My Man! My Family! Ohana means everything to me! If I didn't have all their support God only knows where I would end up!

          I love shopping! I would spend everyday at the mall but I would probally be homeless with out a penny to my name! Even though I love going out and going shopping I don't always have the time between being a wife and working. So online shopping is totally my thing! There are tuns of right online websites! My Tanning Story!

               
                                                       MY TANNING STORY!


          Let me first start of by saying I am Italian and Greek that means I don't get tanned...I GET SUPER TANNED! I have been getting super tanned in the summer scene I was little! One summer my mama and my aunts took me and my cousins down to the ocean. We spent everyday on the beach. On our last day of vacation we where spending our last few hours down at the beach when suddenly my mom couldn't find me and my cousin Dustin. Of course my mom and my aunts start to panic! They get a life guard who cleared everyone out of the water! They called out named and everything! They finally found us playing in the sand with some Mexican kids. We where so tan that they didn't recognize us! 



                           


           The summer of my senior year in high school me and my cousin biggie became really close like sisters. We spent every day together that summer. We decided to try out a tanning salon together. I was a little skeptical  because my mom had gotten skin cancer from falling a sleep while she was tanning but the tanning salon we went to had all these posters of doctors saying how healthy tanning was. I was young and stupid at the time so I believed those posters. We went to one that was 24 hours and we went about twice a week every week. It started of good and I was getting a nice tan. About our second month into using tanning beds I had a tanning nightmare! I usually only tanned for 10 minutes at a time but something went very wrong! Instead of 10 minutes the girl put me on 30 minutes! I was laying the bed and I could feel my sick getting sick! I almost pasted out! I got out the bed right away before it was done and left! I had the worst burn of my life! I had two degree burns on my back! I was in so much pain it made me feel sick! I couldn't move it hurt so bad! After that nightmare I vowed never to use a tanning bed again! 














































          I love to tan but I have learned my lessons in the past and I wanted to start tanning the right way! I found these two products amazing! I use Jergens natural glow during the winter and I use the banana boat tanning spray while I lay out in the summer! The natural glow lotion give me just that a natural healthy glow! It is great for winter time and is a whole lot healthier for you. I lay out in the summer for 40 minutes 2 times a week! I got an amazing tan with the tanning spray I got nice and dark! I you want a healthier tan I defiantly suggest using these two products! They are both cheap and you can find them at any drug store! You only have only skin! Treat it right! Keep it healthy!

                                                           MY VINTAGE VANITY!



          I have grown from an ugly duckling to a beautiful swan! When I was younger I was super tom boyish and awkward! Then I got my curves and mama bought me my first pair of heels! As I am getting old I am truly growing into a woman. I have learned what kind of beauty I am. I am a mix between a natural beauty and a classic beauty. I like to think of myself as a crossbreed of Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. I am class with ass honey! I don't wear make up because I need to wear it. I wear make up because I enjoy it. As I grown into the woman I am meant to me my make up collection grows with me! I needed more space for my make up and I wanted to make something that was just my space so I started looking into vanities. I had one when I was a lot younger but I never used it so my mom gave it way. All the vanities I liked where so beyond my budget. One evening after Sunday dinner I was telling my grandmother about my vanity idea. I told her that the prices where way to high so she suggested I take my great grandmother's vanity. I thought it was a great idea! It meant so much more then some vanity from a store.


                                  

        My great grandma Lizzie reserved this vanity as a wedding present from her husband. One of my favorite memories as a child is going to visit grandma Lizzie and playing at her vanity. I would always pretend I was a princess on her wedding day! I would put on all her jewelry and wear her wedding necklace and a grown. It meant so much to me to have this handed down to me. As I moved my vanity into my home I found a ton of hold photos she had locked in the vanity draws  and I found her wedding jewelry. I plan on getting ready at this vanity on my wedding day and wearing her wedding jewelry. It was like her gift to me. It was to let me know that I would get to have a piece of her at my wedding and that she would be there watching over us.

 


          I made my vintage vanity me own by adding all of my favorite things. I added some romantic white Christmas lights, my favorite candles, my make up box with my make up collection inside, pictures of my loved ones, , my favorite lotions, and my favorite perfumes. I kept my great grandmothers  perfume tray and used it for my favorite scents. I decorated it with nick nacks that mean some thing special to me and my favorite quote by Marilyn Monroe " A true lover can thrill you will a kiss on the for head." I love to spend hours sitting at my vanity getting dolled up and playing around with my make up. It is very old Hollywood. Glamorous and beautiful. I made something old into something new with little touches of the past and the present.  I blended my self and my grandmother beautifully. I couldn't love mt vanity more and I didn't have to spend a dime! New isn't always better. If you are looking to add a vanity to your decor ask around your family if they have one they would like to pass down or check out vintage stores or thrift shops. Remember you don't have to spend a million to look like a million.
